Thermal management, power-loss protection and data security are key considerations for industrial memory and storage. Technologies presented at electronica 2026 address these requirements in SSDs and DRAM modules.

High-speed SSDs and high-density DRAM modules require thermal management to maintain performance within their operating limits. Apacer addresses these requirements with its CoreGlacier 2 SSD series and GraTherX DDR5 cooling technology.

GraTherX uses a 0.17 mm copper-graphene layer to distribute heat. According to Apacer, it can reduce temperatures by up to 23.4 °C. The announcement does not specify the test conditions or reference configuration for this figure.

Power Management and Power-Loss Protection

The CoreEnergy PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 SSD series offers capacities of up to 4 TB. Predefined operating modes can be selected via a hardware DIP switch or software to limit power consumption and heat generation.

Related technologies include CoreVolt 2 voltage stabilisation and CorePower backup capacitors for power-loss protection. SSDWidget 2.0 provides monitoring functions.

For data security, the CoreSecurity2 firmware suite includes drive-erasure functions, AES-256 encryption with TCG Opal 2.0 support, key replacement and driverless write protection.

Memory for Edge Computing

Additional exhibits include the PT1C0-M280 PCIe Gen5 x4 SSD and DDR5 CQDIMMs with capacities of up to 128 GB and data rates of up to 7200 MT/s. Apacer will also present LPDDR5 CAMM2 modules for space-constrained edge AI systems.

Apacer will exhibit at electronica in Munich from November 10 to 13, 2026, in Hall C6, Booth 311. (mr)
