EPC will present a 6 kW converter from 800 V to 6 V and preview GaN power stages targeting processor supply voltages below 1 V. The designs address different stages of power conversion in AI server systems.

Power delivery in AI servers requires several conversion stages between high-voltage distribution and low-voltage processor supplies. At electronica 2026, EPC will present GaN-based designs for different parts of this chain.

The exhibits include the EPC91123, a 6 kW ISOP LLC converter from 800 V to 12.5 V, and a new 6 kW converter from 800 V to 6 V. The latter targets architectures that bring high-voltage conversion closer to AI processors.

Conversion to Processor Supply Voltages

EPC will also preview its Gen8 GaN power-stage technology. According to the company, it targets direct conversion from approximately 6.25 V to processor supply voltages below 1 V at switching frequencies in the multi-megahertz range.

The announcement does not specify efficiency, power density or cooling requirements for the new 800 V-to-6 V converter. It also provides no performance data for a complete conversion chain combining this converter with the Gen8 stages.

EPC will exhibit at electronica in Munich from November 10 to 13, 2026, in Hall C6, Booth 221. (mr)
