Located directly adjacent to the main Avnet Silica booth (Hall 3A, Booth 111), the dedicated Avnet Silica-Microsoft stand explores how software choices shape industrial systems, influencing hardware architecture, scalability, security, compliance, and long-term platform viability. The dedicated stand focuses on end-to-end system design, demonstrating how hardware, software, support, and services come together in real industrial use cases. Key areas visitors can find on-site include:

AI and AI at the Edge: Live local inference running under Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 across x86 and ARM-based industrial platforms, highlighting how secure, offline Edge AI workloads can be deployed without dedicated AI hardware.

Cloud-to-Edge system design: How industrial systems connect, scale, and are managed across distributed environments.

Next-generation industrial compute platforms: Modern CPU and compute choices that balance performance, power efficiency, ecosystem maturity, and lifecycle support.

Software platforms and services: Industrial-grade operating systems, including Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 and GNU/Linux, supported by Avnet Silica’s Software & Services EMEA team and aligned with regulatory requirements such as the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The stand also features a vision enablement framework supporting rapid evaluation of more than 30 image sensors across these platforms, enabling high-performance prototyping from concept through to production. These demonstrations will provide attendees with the opportunity to explore how Microsoft technologies support scalable, secure, and compliant industrial system design.

Avnet Silica at embedded world 2026

Avnet Silica’s broader embedded world focus on the future of embedded technology aims to help engineers move from early design to deployment-ready solutions with the right hardware and software, insight, expertise, and stability to execute with confidence. The dedicated Avnet Silica-Microsoft stand highlights a system-level view of how software-led design can deliver scalable, industrial-ready solutions in practice.

“In our discussions with industrial customers, we increasingly see that the real challenge is not hardware performance, but ensuring that software architecture, security, and lifecycle strategy are aligned from the beginning. If these foundations are not set early, complexity grows quickly,” said Martin Grossen, Director Embedded Software & Cloud Global, Avnet Silica. “At embedded world, we are showing how these decisions can be made coherently, with software and hardware designed together to support long-term deployment.”

Visitors can find Avnet Silica at embedded world 2026 in Hall 3A, Stand 111, with the collaboration stand located directly next to the main booth.
